Hey look, an SIA interview with someone in the ski industry I really, really respect. Anyone else having Deja Vu?
I'm gonna buy a lot of that stuff. Preferably... um, now, would be good.
Schmuck you need to get on that T shirt Tony's wearing, it looks like the one he had at the Idea premiere too. It has JS on it and an all over print, it's perfect.
If im going to buy poles, espessically expensive ones, they should be made of somthing that isnt just going to bend when i land on them or fall. my graphite super think light poles ,but most importantly DONT BEND. its just as gay as buying an Ipod with out the smash proof water proof case. it will work going out of the store but down the road its almost a garntee that it will break.
Joy stick make durable poles and help build a practical world. im tired of companys making things for people who live in bubbles
i was pumped on your glove with hestra and im stokked on the js gloves...the next years carbon looks sick, i cant wait to see next years soft goods, that beanie looks tight..oh and that would be rad if you made that mask available to the public next year...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ANTHONY and rip it up so hard to show oakley they made a mistake.
Jebus, you are, in all definitions of the word, an ignoramus.
Think about what you just said. All poles made out of light weight aluminum will bend if enough of a stress is applied. That's just a proven fact. Structural integrity, if i may, is compromised by more or less all daily skiing activities: dents caused by chair lifts, whacking snow off your boots, landing on it funny, the list goes on.
Hell, even my carbon joysticks broke and hey were by no means a bad pole. Freak accident, bam-two pieces. It happens. They were the lightest, most responsive poles i've ever had the priviledge to ski with. (yes i described them as responsive, as poles can be described when you're skiing something other than park.)
As for the cost? Joystick isn't exactly a major company that has a huge manufacturing line to produce it's product or a humungous market to sell said poles and apparel to. Businesses need to set a price that both the consumer will buy and that will also make money for said business. that's just the way it works. if everything was made so that you could afford it, well there would be nothing to buy because everybody would go bankrupt!
What you said is a slap to Anthony's face. He has put copious amounts of time into Joystick from its conception. All the graphics were designed by him so that you could have a pole with a sick graphic that makes you happy every time you look at it. (That's only my interpretation of it.)
By no means do you have to buy these poles, but you dont have to put them down. So you have a pair of GRAPHITE racing poles that don't bend, fantastic, i'm happy for you, i trully am. But don't say that they're bad because it's too expensive for your liking and not made to your specifications.
