Cool article ... and I agree that skiing should be all about having fun with friends and for what to do out there but man whoever said:

"i wish skiing was more about guys like liam, vanular and guys like that instead of "compitition skiers" like sammy carlson and simon dumont. just the attitude of "lets have fun skiing and push ourselves to do new shit" is way better for the sport than "i have to be the best pipe skier in the world." perhaps the x-gamers are bringing more exposure to our sport, but i think its way cooler to still be fairly underground"
