what ab out seth morrison, mike douglas & jp auclair talk about longevity, innovations and the passion for the progression of the sport and these guys have been and are still doing it big time year after year whether its big mountain, hucking huge cliffs or throwing sick spins and flips...pretty sad that the editors of this site could overlook that kind of achievement
Eric Pollard should not be up here so much. He's not original, not artistic, hes simply one of many good skiers. jassyass910 did a better job than the actual article did it self in describing this!
1) Seth Morrison-For just being fucking nuts, going fast and throwing flips off huge cliffs was before tanner got out of the park, Not to leave out his 150 ft double front in Freeskier. What he's shown possible in the mountains is crazy.
2)Pep-I was blown away after seeing Pep be the first to make legit switch turns in powder. 1242 segment is still to this day the best segment ever. So much progression.
4)Jon- He has a slew of bronze medals that he got for putting so much damn style into his runs and not so much amplitude. NOt to mention he has the business side of the industry so dialed. He want's to put ski comps on the map and have them be to the scale that he sees fit. Perfect jumps, be treated like rockstars, and get paid alot of money. The JOI is the best event ever and will be interesting to see where he takes it in the years following.
Not to mention he's one of the "older" guys and invents some of the sickest tricks ever.
Honorable mention: Toss up between Tanner, Sammy, Andreas, & Simon- All these guys kill it. Tanner and Simon are guarenteed to put on a great show in the pipe and put shame to snowboarders. Tanner has obviously taken it out of the park and kills it in the backcountry with the likes of Seth, love him or hate him he's one of the best. Sammy has so much tech skill and is a fun person to watch ski and his grabs are held until his fingers are about to get caught between his skis and the snow. Andreas is fucking amazing and is never unnatural in any way he skis forward or switch. Simon has the craziest boosting skils in the pipe and his truck driver 5's are something the words can't describe.
And that dude who was dissin Pollard. One thing. A few years ago I didn't really like/understand Pollard's style, around the first time I saw the Hit List. After the next season (maybe cuz my skiing improved a lot) I got why, asides from being ridiculously talented with switch landings and other stuff in pow, Pollard is one of the smoothest skier out there. I can't really put it to words as well as others but he just...well...is. And again, ANT!!!
lol i thought they wrote this article because they were sick of everyone else's opinion and wanted to show theirs. stupid comments ruin everything lol.
yep def pep is up there, personnaly i think he kills better at big mount and in the park than tanner, and has a bette style. tanner might be a bit better at park though
