yeah i understand how you feel. Going to the Univ. of CO and not being able to ski yet and just having homework and tests every week doesn't exactly qualify as fun. hang in there for sure.
Once we get snow, come to peterborough im going to have a box set up...come play!
and i agree 100%, im not sure if im a desk guy or if im going to need to work with my hands. My best idea right now is get a desk job and work around where im living after work to keep sane. Get a hobbie or something.
Yooo doug we got a 20' box, and every month or so we rent a trunk, get snow, and have a session. There should be one going down before the end of the month, so I'll keep you in touch. Peaaaaaace
doug we really appreciate it! all the hard work you guys do for us making this the best site on the web.and without it i think in the off seasons we would all go crazy.
and sometime this season a few friends and i will skip school and come ride with you during the week.
until then hang in there, snow's coming and thanks alot for all the hard word!
Doug, why do you still live on the East Coast? You could run NS from anywhere in the world! Why not live in Whistler year round? Or Kicking Horse? Or Tahoe, SLC, Aspen, anywhere else???
I've thought of moving to the mountains, but city living is sitting pretty well with me. There's so much to do here, and my life doesn't end when the snow melts... just changes.
Concerts I've gone to in the last 3 months:
DJ Krush
Kid Koala
Coldcut
Massive Attack
Holy Fuck
Gwar (next weekend)
That alone is a great reson to live here. I really try to have a life outside of skiing, and do things that challenge my brain. The city has a ton of culture, and you meet such different people. Plus, I go skiing in the morning at an icy park, work inthe afternoon, and then go out partying Downtown in the evening.
I'd rather that as my regular life, and the west coast be trips I go on.
I dunno... something about the east just does it for me.
