Over winter break, I had the pleasure of climbing Mt. Tom in Holyoke, MA. Always passing it on my way up to Vermont, it finally made me curious enough one day to go climb it and see what its all about. My father had always told me that there used to be a ski area there so it made it all the more intriguing. I was going there with the mind set just to climb to the top and look down and see if I could see any trails left behind. The hike up to the summit was very relaxing and kept at a gradual slope the whole time. It was only a 1202 footer but here in New England we take what we can get.
