finally some senseability, the widest ski you need for the east should be less than 100 mm. wider than that, you're into big mountain boards. not many big mountains in the east.
I've skied the gotomas a few times.....i cant beleive how well that ski carves. but for the east, look into a mantra, a little more practical big board
I hear what you're saying but when i think ski robots i think ski instructors. they've all been brain washed to think there is only one correct way to ski.
ski patrolers at my hill are a mix of alpine, free heel and snowboarders and they do all have and similar syle i guess.
if there is any piece of equipment you do not compromise is your ski boots. if you buy some cheap boots off line you will regret it. just go to a good boot fitter and be prepared to spend more than $100, you will be so much happier in the long run. its the time of year where shops are letting...
AR6 is a noodle, i dont know how your ski those all mountain. Best all mountain skis of 2007? Volkl Karma, Head Monster 82, K2 PE, Volkl Gotama, Norica Supercharger Enforcers.
hold out until next year. marker has a binding coming out called the duke. 16 din, unlocking heel, a touring binding your can hammer on. i rode them at a trade show on next year's volkl mantras. so much fun.
