Oh hi! So yeah, I posted the save FREEskiing thread because
I thought it sounded funny and might lighten the mood around here, but maybe
satire and/or hating isn’t really my gig, sorry ‘bout that. For those who
laughed at it, thanks...
Ok, so I've decided that there are some things going on the industry that are really bad for the sport, and for the sake of the sport's future, I just couldn't hold my tongue any longer.
Basically, since I'm part of the competition scene, I figured I should add my voice to all the contest...
Hey guys, thought you might like this footage of Riddle working on dubs last week at snowmass, the GoPro shots give you a good sense of what he sees up there when he's giving 'er.

Hey NS-errrrs. We just made a facebook fanpage for the Canadian Halfpipe Ski Team, and we're going to do our best to keep it updated with pics and videos of the crew (Sarah, Roz, Dorey, Riddle.... and more, just wait) and their adventures around the globe.
Find us at -...
Here's a great exercise that you can practice at home to help you figure out your balance/weighting:
Put a skateboard on the ground in front of you and hop forwards to land on it. Start small and then gradually increase the gap.
Once you can do that, try taking a bit of speed into it, walking...
That statement is actually quite misleading:
FIS has absolutely EVERYTHING to do with pipe skiing becoming (or at the moment - not becoming) Olympic. It is FIS who will (eventually, hopefully) submit halfpipe skiing to the IOC for consideration.
It is not at all a case of "IOC not allowing...
Hi guys. If I may, I'd like to say that the only limits are the ones that you set on yourself.
I spent all of my 20s doing moguls, and really didn't even get a chance to get into the newschool stuff until after that. I did my first doubles at 30, and did my first 900 when I was 34. Sure there...
Lots of good comments in this thread, and like Campofchamps said, I think all of the camps out there really like to get feedback, both good and bad. If nobody ever criticized then we would never know what we need to improve on.
I think that we (Momentum) have definitely been a little guilty of...
Sarah Burke, Kaya Turski, TJ Schiller, Mike Riddle, Justin Dorey, Ian Cosco, Josh Bibby, Chris Turpin, Frank Raymond, Dana Flahr, JF Houle, John Spriggs.
Also Rory Bushfield (water ramps), and Roz G (trampoline)
Hey everyone,
Just so you know, the decision is not up to us (Momentum), it is an insurance requirement, from both our insurers and Whistler Blackcomb's.
For us to get insurance (which is A: required to operate a camp and B: harder to get all the time because of lawsuits etc) insurance...
There is no partying at our camp. Absolutely not. If anyone is caught partying or in any way having fun they will be locked in a dungeon for the remainder of the summer. That goes for our coaches and diggers too. I can smell alcohol from 7.4 kilometers away, and I will personally hunt down...
Well, if you were never offered coaching, or instruction, I sympathise. Maybe not all camps operate the same. I suppose I can only comment on our particular camp.
If you ask anyone who has been to our camp about the quality of coaching and instruction, I would expect that they have a very...
Wow, sweet thread guys.
Here is our perspective:
At Momentum, we do work very hard to try and give the best possible experience for our campers. This goes for all of the camps on the glacier, they are all run by great, hardworking people, who bust their ass to create parks in some very...
