Anyone at Blue Mountain looking for HDPE?

I'll also be there some weekdays next week...not sure when yet. If you end up changing your mind, let me know so I can put this up on paskiandride to see if anyone there wants it.

Anyone at Blue Mountain looking for HDPE?

Ha, yea, I thought about selling it - but I figured someone locally would like it more if it was free. I bought it for $25 plus $15 shipping - so instead of sell it on Ebay for $10, it'd probably get better use with a local skier who can use it on their on setup.

Anyone at Blue Mountain looking for HDPE?

Hey, No, HDPE is not rollable, foldable, even really bendable, it is very stiff plastic. However, like I said, it's cut down, so it's in 40" long sheets, 9" wide. I don't think it'll be a problem fitting them into your car. As for building a box, I mounted the HDPE onto a 15' x 10" board...

Anyone at Blue Mountain looking for HDPE?

Here's what it looked like before I took off the topsheet:

Anyone at Blue Mountain looking for HDPE?

just realized you weren't asking if it's still on the boxes. HDPE works perfect for boxes - it's an identical feeling to any of the boxes at Blue. I'm not sure if most mountains use HDPE or something similar - but if you search around, pretty much anyone who's making a decent box is using HDPE...

Anyone at Blue Mountain looking for HDPE?

No, I took the sheets off the box. I actually still have the box, but I think I'm just gonna cut it up and throw it out - too much of a pain to transport anywhere. It is 15' x 1.5' x 9" I'm not charging anything for the sheets, just giving them away to anyone who can use them.

Anyone at Blue Mountain looking for HDPE?

About three months ago I purchased 2 sheets of black HDPE, dimensions were 1/4" x 29" x40". I cut them down to 9" wide, 40" long (or right around there) for a box. I'm no longer going to be using the sheets, probably practiced out back 3-4 times, so they're barely used. There are 4-6 screw...

    Dakine Glove Sizing?

I'm looking to buy Dakine Cobra GTs, but I don't know about size and I haven't been able to find them in any stores yet. For North Face & Burton gloves, XL seemed to always fit my fingers better. My wrist and palm were fine with L or XL. Dakine's sizing chart says to measure around your hand...

First build, learning to ride, what width/materials, etc. best...

I'm going to go with 9 in' wide with the HDPE and then have 1-1.5 inch PVC on the sides of that - so it will probably come out to around 1' wide. I have the supports put together and I think instead of a 18' I'm going to make two 15' boxes just so I can mix it up in the future.

    Coping

This should give you a better idea, it's from a thread you can find if you search for "coping":

    Coping

All of this may be wrong - I'm just going off stuff I've read: I've only hear of two ways of people attaching coping - for PVC you need to send a screw into the bottom of the pipe, then into the wood. You get access to the bottom of the pipe by first drilling a slightly larger hole in the...
