Let's set it straight: The SPK is a park / jib boot. It's not as soft as everyone thinks it is, but it is not ideal for allmtn skiing. It feels sweet for a jib boot, fits like a skate shoe. If it's more than the park you're shredding, check out next year's pro model gun boot. Werd.

Forget Tyrolia, Salomon is good (921ti) unless you're heavy (914). But I highly recommend look p12... Super solid feeling.

dude, that ski is too big. I highly recommend a pair of 169 Seth Vicious. They'll be a perfect pow ski for him for at least a couple years.

Dude, you definetly need to ski them to find out. I have a friend who is your size. He's a really strong skier, and he rips the 185 ARV's... fuckin loves them. I thought they were too soft when I flexed them (on the shelf... like all the rest of these guys) but they don't ski like that at all...
