Not really sure why im making this a thread but I have some very big problems with wood rails and they're pretty pointless if I do say so myself, anyone have any tips on grinding wood rails or any horrible accidents with them?

I have a pvc rail right now but its sorta soft and ive gotten my edges stuck in it a few times. Is there any better kind of pvc or something that wont make you catch an edge
I slightly tore my achilles tendon and i have major bruising and maybe a fracture in my heel going to sugarloaf this weekend not sure if i wanna try and ski cuz i dont wanna permanently injure it any advice?
