For me, the ski hill is a Utopian paradise during the bleakness of winter and city life. The sport challenges me to negotiate nature in risky and creative ways. Shredding gnar with friends, showing off, scaring yourself shitless, contemplating the natural world atop of a big ass mountain. That's what I think skiing is all about.
