Why are line skis so cheap?

Back on the topic. Line skis are cheap as stated above because they are made in china, this makes no difference to the quality, if anything it probably makes them better as they are making them at a much lower cost they can afford to through more marginal skis away. They also only make twin...

Why are line skis so cheap?

What does FTW mean? I don't want to get in a linguistics debate because you obviously have no idea BUT just because you and your friends use FTW does not mean it is english. Most people over 25 would have no idea what you were talking about. And he was hating on it because it wasn't english...

    Feelings on Nordica Spark

Have you tried on any boots in a 30.5? Because that seems way too big for you i wear 11-11.5 shoes and have size 27.5 boots

    Left and right skis?

Not really. And car tyres will always need replacing in the end but i get your analogy. With tyres though they wear differently on the front relative to the rear, thats why you rotate them but with skis i dont see how they wear differently, you make the same amount of left turns as you do...

    Left and right skis?

How does it make a difference which ski is on which foot? Won't the both wear at the same rate?

Marker bindings too high over ski?

an extra 1/2 cm isnt going to be very noticeable if at all

    Sizing question

how much have you grown from last year? Its only an extra 7cms each end from your old skis so they should be alright, you'll get used to them pretty quickly and your growing so i would go for it

    Sizing question

How much do you weigh? and what length skis are you skiing on at the moment? I think 176 seems big but you could probably handle it and it is an amazing ski

    Elizabeths to small????

First how did i fail? Second yeah i've heard of icelantic, have you actually skied them? and do you actually know anything about them? Because if you did know anything about them you wouldn't be trying to make the same point you are i.e they make short skis

    Elizabeths to small????

Yeah but those 90 waist volkls would be a lot longer than 172, your getting caught up with thinking the waist of the ski makes all the difference in powder, obviously it is important but length is just as important, its all about the surface area. And a ski knows how tall you are
  11. K

    Elizabeths to small????

Yeah but how tall are you? He is 6'1" so they are obviously far to small for him. A 110 waist isn't small but a 172 length is!

    Ski advice

The elisabeths will be way to small for you! Look for something over 180cm
  13. K

    Elizabeths to small????

Definitely too small! For powder you need something at least 180 and even then that would be small

Bad idea to get boots online?

I would only say its a horrible idea if you had never tried the boots on at all. Its still a bad idea if you have tried them unless they fit perfectly because most people need some form of adjustment to the boot for a good fit. So any money you save will probably be spent at the bootfitter...

Need suggestion for mounting from experienced skiier

That is the stupidest post! I'm pretty sure everyone on here could work out 12.5 - 7.5 to equal 5! So obviously i didn't want to know that.
