you should go in late march to early april if you plan on skiing down to your car...i hiked up in shoes with my ski equipment on my back... i would use skins because you don't really need snowshoes because the trail is usuallt packed pretty well

its not that hard to do in the winter you just follow the trail to tucks and ski down

it gets to be over 55 degrees in some places
