yeah, its just a fun thing...they call it a glacier in jest as snowmass/aspen does not have glaciers. they push all the snow left from the half pipe and jumps into one big pile, set up some rails and let people play on them as long as the snow lasts...they actually groom and ice it to keep it...

yeah, snow started a couple of weeks ago in the high country and the big storm came last weekend. i think silverton resort in southern colorado got about 3 feet! independence pass near aspen was closed over the weekend because of treacherous driving conditions but reopened on sunday.
