So I've spent the last two seasons at mt hood meadows, this year we aren't even close to opening. There is no major snowfall expected until mid January. I have the money to go anywhere in the western U.S. but I just got a job on park crew this year as well. What do you guys think? Should I wait...

In a week I'm getting on a plane for the first time. any advice, warnings, etc? I'm excited, but I have no idea what to expect. I'm flying from Portland to Denver if that makes a difference.
