There is one in the Pearl accross from REI (The Edge Building), and I'm pretty sure its called Satellite Sports. Its on NW 13th and Kearny.

Ya pretty much everything fun to do here requires both knees (other than drinking of course). I guess you could go to Ski Bowl and go bungee jumping (thats what I did on my 16th) and hang out in Hood River for a bit and watch windsurfers.

If you're looking for a park then timberline, but you're going to have to do some research on places to hike if you want some actual good terrain. But honestly I've been all over the country and summertime in Oregon is the best anywhere, maybe except San Diego which has fine girlies everywhere...

You make a good point, I've seen some pretty ridiculous things in the Meadows park over the years. Nobody ever calls a drop in so people get snaked frequently, and I've seen snowboarders destroy lips by sliding and hopping over them, not to mention people chilling on landings or right inbetween...

Go to the best bootfitter you can find, even if its a long distance, it will be worth it. Another thing is use a booster strap instead of the strap on your boot. It doesn't directly relate to your shin pain, but should increase overall comfort and performance.

Just got my EG2's in the mail, holy shit are they sweet, super happy I got them. I wear a size 8 hat and have a big face too, and I can see everything, super comfortable, and look cool. Kinda pushed down in my helmet (Smith Holt) but they'll work.
