    Decisions --> All Mountain Twin

    Right NS, I'm 5'6" ~160lbs, advanced skier. Looking for an mid-fat all mountain twin (between 90-100) to take to the Alps this season, probably 50% POW (snow dependent), 50% On piste (Park (mainly jumps)/Groomers/jibbing whatever else). Having read around both here and elsewhere I was sure I...

    K so my bindings are fucked...

    Similar thing happened to me at the beginning of last season (Jan '08) and they were warrantied fine. Took me 6 months to get my ski's back again but part of that was likely due to me not being in the country. This was through the shop I bought them at so direct will probably be better.

    Best D-slr for skiing

    Kit lens would be fine for what he would be looking at. A 20/30/40D would also be a good bet but if not available a XT/XTi would work although at 3fps or less it is slow for sequence shots but otherwise it should be fine. Lens wise there isn't an excellent telephoto in the price range. Of all...

    Best D-slr for skiing

    Being a Canon user myself (see 2008 pics in my sig) I have a bias towards them. If you can't afford the XSi I would recommend either the XTi or the XT both of which can be found pretty cheaply now if you look around. Lens options are really up to you. You will want a relatively wide angle...

    Will Cell Phones Replace Computers?

    No not in the mainstream. I can see mobiles replacing landlines (as they have done in certain areas of Africa which have no landlines and so everyone uses mobiles). Internet wise people will always use computers because they are bigger, generally speaking more powerful (at least always should...
