go ahead and splice it but before you tape it up for good test it -- you will prob. need to get your splices really hot (don't really need to solder though...) but you will notice that when you cut the wire each side doesn't appear to be insulated from the other, there is a really thin coating...

could be a thermostat, but prob a head gasket: common on subarus 2.5l w/ 80k-150k miles. (My 98 blew one, similar symptoms) even if the coolant looks full you could have an air pocket int he system that prevents the pump from working... if the coolant looks dirty sludgy may be a blown head gasket

I have a friend from Lebanon, she says the skiing is great (for some context this was said to me while skiing in colorado) she lives minutes from the beach and can be skiing in 45 minutes, sound tight. and skiing in Iran would be a fucking trip for sure, if you survived...
