just depends on how good you are - if you wanna detune them get one of those small gray rubberish things and go over your edgeds a few times... if you cant scrape off small chips of your fingernails with the edges - they arent really sharp anymore

if you iron doesnt say anything about the temp. just try to get it to the point where the wax isnt burning - when the iron isnt smoking

just get the stupid base - you mount it on the ski and then you can mount any binding on it - they say you wwont raise the level too high

yeah i got the assasins too, the normal ones though (cheaper :) )... they are awesome,... before i did snowboarding for the last 4 years (yeah lol) i was racing almost all the time, so now they actually go pretty decent when you go fast too.... i mean they aren't that great on ice or groomers as...

oh i forgot, i think since here are more parks and almost no back country at all they should be at like 65 % park and 35 % back country or 70/30 would be alright too.. i don't need too wide ones. they should just be able to take a lot..
