I painted a pair of really old Elans once. I think I used craft paint or something! And then I put a sealer kind of coat on them. They got really scraped up on the hill. I wouldn't recommend craft paint ('antique country yellow' is just not a cool color) :-) and mine scraped off pretty fast.

Like Snowgurl said, Kyle has worked at Mt. Snow for the past few years. As far as I know, all the ski comps he's done have been pretty close to Mt. Snow. No X-Games yet. You never know, though! He's a pretty impressive freestyler. Although I never skied/rode with him, everyone at Snow knew him...
