My shop is the same way, buy a ski and binding, its free, $25 if you buy 1 item and $50 if you walk in off the street. I've seen shops as high as $100. Factor the mounting costs and shipping into it when you find that great deal on-line. Support local shops!

It happened to me, thank god it was at Snowmass, I left the jacket with them to get it cleaned. When they couldn't do it they paid for a replacement. I guess going to a yuppie resort can help out. Most places would have told me to get bent.

Look at the STH 12 as opposed to the z12, the STH uses the world cup heel plate and is MUCH stronger

start by approaching shops and the hill you are at, most of the employees there have contacts with reps and can pass your name along to a rep if they feel you actually deserve to get product. Having a video and placing well in comps doesnt hurt either
