I’m looking to build a setup in my backyard this summer, any of y’all have experience with this? What surface should I get and how much am I gonna need to spend?

Is the heel piece really supposed to be so stiff to the point where it breaks my pole when I try to pop out of them? Then there’s clicking in which takes me nearly jumping into them on one foot. Am I tripping or is there a way to loosen it up?
