its not as much about the camera, its more how you export it, a true test would be on a TV, because when you hook your camera up it is full qual, so you could compair it to another cam, but if you export wrong you can make HD look worse and a littlle 1 chip dv cam
if ur going to spend the money... just buy the pani dvx100 w/e model... a...b.. pretty much al the same and way nicer then the vx2100 but still a nice cam

Try not to export as a .wmv file. the codec sucks balls at filesizes and quality. Look into exporting with quicktime's h.264 codec, its the latest technology and gives a really nice image when compressed with a smaller file size.<br />

Also playback on the tv. The picture usually looks a little different (more quality IMO) due to the lack of resolution on the tv and the tons of resolution from the 3CCDs. Tv resolution is 640x480.
