i doubt that, from what i can remember from visiting the county prison junior year in high school. tear drop tattoos mean somebody in your fellow gang has died.

i'm pretty sure you get a tear for every person you've killed. I saw it on Nip/Tuck.

tears can mean different things man, depending on where they are, and shape etc<br />

they can mean someone close has died, a gang member has died, you killed someone, you went to prison, and its a gang symbol, i forget which gang though

I was watching this one prison show and there a tear meant that you were someone's bitch. But I had always thought it was you killed/someone you know had been killed.
