shitty quality but its my first black and white that i developed and I think it turned out pretty good even though its not very original.

yeah thats a giid i dea i was using a 5+ filter and i had to hold it to the enlarger head and it gota little messed up

5 filter is a bit extreme. It has messed up many of my shots when i tried to use it. Tooooo much contrast for me

i odnt know much abiout the filters my photog teacher told me to use that. There is so much to learn in phtography!!!

well, basically, if you use a high contract filter when it is not needed, your whites come out way to bright / bleached looking, or your blacks lose a lot of detail.

Why were you holding the filter up? Put it in the top thingy...but anyways, the 5 filter looks like you got a pretty good exposure on this...so i reccomend just burning that bottom bit without a filter.

Developing sounds confusing... I just pay a couple dollars and get mine back an hour later :S

My physics teacher runs the lab and I asked if he'd open it up to students but no one shows any interest in it other than me and he has no time.

i would def burn that bottom left corner in, but when you do that what will probably happen is the top right corner, because it is so white, will be the first spot that the eye notices on the print, when you really want the flower to be noticed first. You might want to see if you can pull some information in there also.
