so let me get this straight... If i donate $10,000,000 to every charity i can think of, spend my life making the world a better place, save ten babies from a burning building, and do nothing wrong in my life... I'll still go to hell if i dont believe in god?

you don't know me, you don't know what i have done in my life, so don't try and tell me that because of a couple simple jests i made on a skiing website makes me less of a person than you just because i chose to do something different with my life. someone as worldly as you should not need some simpleton such as myself to explain this concept to you.

if you don't have a personal relationship with Christ when you die you go into eternal separation from Him. Can't tell ya what that is because I’m still alive and here.
When you can find a person who's good thoughts number more things than bad let me know because I would like to meet them. Though I'm pretty confident that they don't exist.

but why? if you are so enveloped in your faith why do you have to prove yourself to us heathens? i apologize for not being able to note the passage, but i my biblical knowledge is correct did satan not temp christ to prove his divinity by exercising miracles and such? and did jesus not refuse these challenges as he explained it was unnecessary because you either believe or you do not?

that's something that many of my friends are having difficulty understanding. God sent His son Jesus to come to earth, be born from a virgin. He was born for the purpose of being crucified on the cross, and then he rose again. God will save us from our sins if we only believe that he died for us. That's all we have to do. But you can't just say 'i believe that jesus died' the words dont mean anything... you truley have to understand and want to change UR life to live to honor God. 'for by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, so that no man can boast.' works wont do it, no matter how hard you try. at the judgment seat of Christ, he will look at if you lived and believe in Him, not if you gave the most money to church. Even good people, will go to hell w/ murderers if you dont believe.
whatever, i dont really get it but thats okay cuz the way i see it if all these other guys throughout history just made up their own religions why shouldn't i be able to. Mine is do what u want when u want, and dont get caught up in all this^ crap. If ur a good person at heart 'god' should be able to tell, being almighty and all.
Do you christians think christ dying for all the worlds sins was so great a jesture? Im not incredibly knowledgable about religion but I talk about it alot so here it goes. Jesus christ is god, holyspirit. If jesus just came to earth died and went to heaven which is supposedly better than earth how is that such a sacrifice?
I'm simply answering questions that others have. I'm not out to prove my faith to anyone alpentalik. The Lord knows where my heart stands and thats all that matters to me.
As for religion, if it were simply of man then it woudl have gone away with time and today we wouldn't even know the name of Jesus. Though over 2000 years later we still know him, people still follow him, and he still lives in those who follow him.
When christ died on the cross he was seperated from the Father for three days. He took on our sin and lived our death ('for the wage of sin is death'). Death is spiritual seperation from the father, the severing of that relationship and all communication. Then he was raised from death, back into life and communication with the Father again.
doesn't matter if you're good or not. If Ossama accepted Christ as his savior the heavens would rejoice and their doors would open and let him in when he died.
