I was out camping at the place this shot was taken a month or so ago, and really want to get a shot like this from when the sun goes down and it lights up only the mountain in the center. So, I managed to get one.
I've yet to take this into Photoshop so the colour space is still an Adobe RGB file that hasn't been assigned so the colours are pretty innacurate as of yet. I'll repost later on but I'd like your comments / critiques on this one if you've got any. Although I do like this shot in a sense, it lacks something.
It lacks a foreground... I like it, it's a sick shot, but the water isn't... defined enough. The picture needs balance, even though the focal point is obviously supposed to be the sunlit mountain behind the lake, and if the water/branches in the lake were a little brighter/more defined... but leave the mountains in the middle dark... cool picture
Everyone photoshops pictures of nature, in case you didn't know that. I'd say probably 99% of all photos you'll ever see in print or from a serious amateur or a professional are 'photoshopped' in some way or another.
super nice.
And Steve is right, pretty much all pictures are 'photoshopped', but it's just basically a digital dark room, it's not changing the composition or anything.
not saying im the bomb.... but doesnt photoshopping nature... make it unatural? changing the way the light endered the lens or cropping out what you dont want in the picture afterwards. thats like cheating god for your own benefit.
