for all you who can't imagine waves on a lake check out unsalted.tv and watch the movie trailer. The big freighter, the edmund fitzgerald was taken down by 40 foot waves in Lake Superior. It is hard to comprehend the size of the lakes, but Superior is 1333 feet deep.
