new school skiing wouldn't exist if it wasn't for snowboarding. Before snowboarding came around, skiers wore neon one pieces and there idea of 'extreme' was a double daffy. All of skiings new tricks are inspired by old snowboarding tricks.
don't get me wrong-- i have unbelievable respect for guys like seth morrison and mike douglas who have taken skiing to the next level. Kids like tanner hall and mike wilson are sick. It just pisses me off when new school skiers rip on snowboarding, because if it wasn't for snowboarding you probably wouldn't be skiing twin tips this season.
So, basically, just shut the fuck up

KK, snowboardings sick, and theres some chill people who do it, so dont hate on it...just it should be put up on this site...jus like our ski shit shudnt be up on a snowboard site...
ok i am one of the few people at my school who ski over snowboarding so i know how it feels to be ridiculed for participating in the sport. now i slightly agree AND dissagree with muthafucker because first of all it was SKIERS that thought of a snowboard in the first place. back then it was 'surfing on snow' so in a way if it wasn't for skiers, snowboarding wouldn't have excisted. but then muthafucker is right in a way. if it wern't for them, we probobly wouldn't be skiing on double tips becuase you have to admit, snowboarders were going switch, sliding rails, and hiting the terrain parks before we were. (sliding rails came from skateboarding which moved to snowboarding.) That still dosn't mean either sport is gay. so to conclude both sports have helped push eahothers limits to change and evolve the sport into something way more extreme. that is all.
