John Kutcher on the U of Utah library 6 kink. I had wanted to shoot this rail since the day I saw them put up the concrete foundations. I remember waiting anxiously to see if the rail would be knobbed. It wasn't... but it was made of a soft metal. Soft metal and steel edges don't mix. Luckily we were able to wrestle some edges out of an old pair of Filthy Riches underfoot and giver a go. This shot happened right before the sun dipped below the horizon... and right before we got busted. It's still one of my favorite ski photos I've ever shot.
