Forgot about the 550px max width when I saved this one for web.
Anyway, this time a 1hr exposure, f9, ISO 100, Auto WB.
Was going to do the same shot as my previous image but with a longer exposure when I decided it'd be cool to show how 'still' it is outside by showing the basketball hoop in there with the star trails.
Unfortunately, it clouded over, I don't know how long into the shot, which is why you get the pink clouds.
despite the clouds, it worked out pretty well. I really like this picture. THe clouds give it the aperance of being daytime, and then with the stars it creats a contridiction, which to me, goes well with the moving stars and the still net.
If you notice, in a number of the star trails they are broken in the middle before continuing on again. Shows that something blocked their light totally during the exposure for a good 10 minutes.
Pretty cool if you ask me, as of today I all of a sudden have a fascination with astrophotography. Now I just need to wait for a clear day and find some new locations where I can set up my Yashica for some photos.
