Flat 5 at woodward with 'unconventional' grab

Uploded this 'casue ElohJay asked about setting flats and I've got a clip in super slo-mo which helps to learm a lot (IMO).

The set for a Flat is basically a Lincoln but you rotate and look over your shoulder in the direction you're spinning.

But.. its kind of different to a bunch of other tricks in that you let the jump set a lot of the flip.

One of the most important things with a flat is too let the jump take your lower body up from under you; you've got to be patient off the take-off. If you look at my body position at take-off I'm not upright, my body's in-line with the jump.

Hope this helps.
Ignoring the 'grab/s', the set is the same for a normal flat.

In order to get it round with this grab on this size of jump I needed to sling it a bit by throwing my right leg forward andd up before the end of the jump (kind of reverse tame dogging with this leg...ish). This sets the trick a tiny bit more inverted/rodeo than normal.

^^^ sam.. flat and rodeo ARE two different tricks, in a rodeo you're upsidedown, in a flat you're not. meaning in a rodeo you're more than 90 degrees inverted, in a flat, you're not.

^Yep, screamin semen with mute/critical grab.

And rodeo and flatspins are different. Rodeo is inverted and set with more of a backflip set; flatspin is...welll....flat.

Actually, it might be a critical grab. I don't know, I grabbed my right ski with my right hand (critical) but as I was doing a screamin my right ski was on my left (critical/mute).

Basically I just hucked, did a little dance with my legs, closed my eyes and thought of England and hoped to grab something! Don't really know what the grab was.
