should've got your exposure on just the wire instead of the full scene, then the wire wouldn't be underexposed, looks good, but lower the aperture too to get less blur on the wire itself.
i'll try that, thanks for the advice. and to explain the name of it...there is a bunch of trees near my house that are going to be cut down and made into some kind of suburban neighborhood or something, so i went to take some pictures of them before they were cut down, but when i got there, the whole area was already fenced off.
