this is the beginning of valley blanche the ski route from the top of mt blancs gondola mountain station and the inside of the station plus the observation decs in light storm through that gate you ski into the glacier over it and through teh glacier fall then after 20 km get on another rail way down to chamonix - but many people die or get invalid trying i tried but got picked up at the glacier fall by a helicopter or I would have died
