i dont know about fruit booting but when you take off switch on skis, your supposed to go backwards

Fakie means taking off backwards on skates. Switch means spinning the opposite way.

well in skiing 'fakie' is used more for landings and 'switch' means taking off backwards, 'unnatural' or 'dirty' means spinnig the other way (for most people to the right)
