okay so this is the first time i've used real actual black and white film and not that bullshit c41 crap. it turned out alright although the brights are too bright, meaning i metered incorrectly. but i guess thats how you learn, by fucking up.

Just dodge and burn to get rid of the brightness....why is c41 crap?

i have no idea how to develop my own shit. hopefully i'll be learning next term, provided i get a spot in intro to photography. i hate c41, its doesn't have the contrast of real b+w. its just like taking color and hitting that little b+w button on iphoto.

ohhh, so your using c41 b/w, yeah thats shit, hand develope some film. pick up some Ilford FP4 50 iso, you'll love it.

this stuff is all ilford 100. but yeah i've used c41 in the past and don't like it.

ilford 400 and tri-x 400 are both good films. you get a lot of contrast with the ilford, but the grays stand out better with the kodak.
