I took this shot in New Hampshire's presidential range, on the hike up Mount Madison. Exposure is 1.5 seconds long at f22.

My god, that's so beautiful. When I saw the last post I was like 'WTF' and when you said you reposted, I didn't expect it to look this great. Truly an incredible photo, I love the streaks of light coming down and the lighting on the rocks.

as for getting light rays in a shot, would a higher aperture/slower shutter define them better? i've always had trouble with it. or maybe they were really just that defined in real life there.

They were pretty defined when I saw them, but a high aperature, with more depth of field probably defines light rays more clearly than a large aperature.
