I actually like the direction you've been taking your digital art alot. I've seen vast ammount of improvement and I really think it's cool that you are trying something different.
Have you tried tinting everyone greenish thay way it may flow together a little better? Right now, you have green tech brushes, color characters, and one black and white character in front. If you kept it all one color scheme it could flow better.
Also something that I've learned with graphics is just to use the KISS method. (Keep it simple stupid) I remember when I first started out with graphics I always wanted to keep adding more and more to a graphic, more layers, more objects, more depth. But looking back, it only cluttered things. Some of the coolest art out there is simple, but provoking. So if you concentrate soley on the message you want to deliver with your graphic and get rid of everything that doesn't serve it, your work will only get sicker.
By the way, I have no idea what that thing is by the kid's face..? is it a flashlight?
