I'm no art/anatomy genius, but I've taken some classes. Mostly the only thing I might fix would be the lines on the jaw. I can't place it exactly, but it might just be that the lines on the left side in particular are a little dark, or maybe the angle is too sharp (I can't quite decide which, if any...maybe I'm being dumb). If you were going for an angle on the face with the jaw and ear (it looks like the head might be slightly turned to the side), the nose/mouth/eyes don't quite follow that angle, if that makes any sense.
Other than that, I really like it. The mouth and nose are especially nice. The shading from the bridge of the nose to the eye is really good as well. Self portraits are tough to do, and you did a very nice job.
hey hehe, actually the lighting was very bright, thus causing any strong shadows to be played down a lot. I actually look a pic, so I drew what I saw. I am actually going into medical illustration so some day I will be a genius lol im just kiddin. I'll always stay real, and thanks for the imput
lol because the eyes arent both open the same way im not trying to defend my work, just trying to help you see. And this isnt the original piece, it is a picture of it. Therefore details arent there and neither is the shading.
well then excluding fine detail and shading thast pretty damn good im in art right now and were doing self protaits right now i hate cause i really suck at drawing peopel im more of a still life nature an graffiti artist but thast good i like it put some more work that you have done i'd like to see more of what you have an ill try to get some of my work on the site if i can ever get my camra fixed lol good job!
