double door, long exposure.

I'll do some explaining to clear things up.

Its my room and my brother's room. The doors are side by side. Both our doors open into the rooms, but in opposite directions.

I turned on all the lights in both our rooms and closed both the doors. I did a timed exposure. The shutter speed was 15 seconds. I put the camera about 8 feet away from the doors - framing both of them in the same picture.

I started with both doors closed.

As soon as I heard the shutter click open, I opened my door, stood there, then walked quickly between both our rooms. I left my door open. Slowly opened my brothers door then stood there, then as the shutter closed, I closed his door.

thats a good picture, it looks like you were using film. how many shots did it take to get it perfect, and what was your fstop

Film is correct.

Fujifilim Superia ISO 200.

f/5 I believe. It was a while ago, so my memory is a little fuzzy.

I did two attempts on one roll. The first was primarily to get a feel for how I should pace myself as I moved through the shot. The above is the second one.

hm very nice. should prove to mommy that photography ain't easy. also, if you're not happy with the colors you can pick up an 80A blue filter. that'll also slow you down 2 stops...
