I've been using a Nikon D100 and i can get the quality that i want but the pictures are not as sharp and vibrant of color that im looking for. have you been using a filter when shooting on snow to get the snow whiter and ski bluer? My dads F5 (film) will get incredible blue skis but i cant produce the same effect on a digital

^ Set the white balance of your D100 to 'Sunny'. This is, assuming it's the same as on my Canon, the same white balance as most slide film out there.

nfg34... the Canon 20D absolutely kills the D70. Also the 1DMKII kills any Nikon camera and the 1DsMKII whenever it comes out is going to make everyone forget that there are any other cameras out there besides it.
