it's crazy stuff...like the lifeguards sit there like hawks and watch and if they see someone moving at a fast rate in a different direction than everyone else, like 6 of them run out there. It's really scary because you can't fight the rip current. Once it gets you, you're gone unless you know how to swim with it and a lifguard sees you. Yeah a rip current pulls you out into the ocean
that's what I meant...yeah I know its sad. But I got to spend it with this guy I like so it was really nice...until he broke my heart two days later lol yeah so it has both good and bad memories...I loved it though, so I've decided that next year when I go to college I'm going to go near the ocean
3ski6guy0 No man, a rip current pulls you out away from the shore...If it just pulled you to the side it wouldnt kill very many people now do ya think...But yeah they arent that deadly if you are a good swimmer and know what to do. All you have to do is be patient and swim parallel to the beach to get out of it. Only idiots die in rip currents
rip currents aren't that bad really as long as you know how to swim... you simply swim parallel to the beach until you're out of it (they're usually only 20-30 feet wide) and then swim back in... undertoe is the one you have to watch out for...
