Thats tuckermans ravine..MT washington, NH.
Great eastern big MTN skiing. But its hardcore... 118 people have dies there since 1900, including good freind of mine in 2001. It is deserving of tremendous respect.

Theres sooo many places back east above treeline. The entire presidential range is above treeline. Mt. Marcy in NY, Mansfield and others in VT, Katahdin and many others in Maine, and countless 4-5k peaks in NH.
