UpDawg Dec 31, 1969 This was a welcome sight during our climb on Mt. Rainier- getting a pot of boiling water took up to 30 minutes. We had to melt snow for every bit of water we wanted to drink, and then boil the water to discontaminate it. Very lengthy process!
