go dwn to queenstown or wanaka which is in the south island. they got tons of mountains + they got snow park www.snowparknz.com about the surfin i duno, i guess anywhere on the west coast, mark will tel ya, he surfs. but if u r mainy skiin, north island is definatly not the place 2 be.
