We hiked up about 40 minutes from the boundary. We were about 5 minutes from the very top but... there wasn't much of a point, snow was wind-blown and crusty until we got into one steep spot, untracked, where it was so incredibly soft I was pissing myself with enjoyment. The End.
At the first section that snow had around a 2cm thick crust on all the snow that would like trap your foot under the snow. I was skiing with very experienced skiers and I watched a couple fall just trying to make a turn in it. But as it steepened the snow got better and we were in an open spot and they were the best turns of my life. Sooooo mellow. That was above the treeline, after those turns we got into real tight trees with all these super tight gullys and stuff which wasn't that great, and then we got into an icy gully where, when going to the exit I lost edge and slid onto my ass back into the gully and had to ski down for the second exit.
