Got my mini dv camera working and I’m going to film loads on it this season. Thought I would give it a test run on a hike (shaky because hand was broken )
I put the camera in vcr mode and change output in settings to dv then I get a dv to FireWire 800 adapter and then I get a FireWire 800 to thunder bolt (you will need a thunder bolt to thunderbolt 3 for newer Mac system) then go on quick time player and change camera to camera you plugged in
