I was wondering if the lack of backcountry caused it, but then again, some people got invites without it. There are some PVC features which takes away from the edit for me, but your edit is strong... and I would think (personally) better than some of the semi-finalist this year. I wonder if they are so used to seeing your name that they have started to overlook you, only because they did in previous years. Brutal.
Kinda funny that youre calling out Level 1 in Squidskiing podcast and still sending a SU entries year after year. Dope skiing tho, would be cool to see you in finals for sure.
First off, I have no idea why Level 1 hasn't invited Cal.. and as much as we think we can speculate what their judging criteria is based on, it's fair to say that it probably changes slightly year-to-year. That being said, I feel as though including PVC feature clips probably doesn't (and definitely SHOULDN'T) have any influence on his candidacy. The whole concept of SU is for people to get recognized who otherwise wouldn't be able to due to not having the same resources as other skiers. Stacking clips on a backyard setup, at your local, poorly maintained park, etc., shows integrity and creativity.
Literally just watched you adopt the Bunch's wardrobe and rideaway over the course of one video. But somehow you still kill it harder than 90% of New Wavers so nicely done! Urban especially, that was fire.
