I hope to God someone drove that cat through that jump after this was taken. The gap is way to big for the amount of speed, the knuckle is straight up death, and the landing is wayyyy to short for that size of gap. The angle of the landing also looks so off based on where the Kicker is sending you. Again, please tell me someone drove that snowcat right through this thing.
I think if you just built a longer and slightly closer take off it would be fine. It looks like all the speed was killed because of the short transition of the jump. Same thing happens when people try to build tall jumps on to street rails.
Also I think most knuckles start off this way and then are mellowed out to create a safe knuckle that still has the landing angle desired.
yeah, that was our manager trying to squeeze the biggest jump we could out of it. Ended up as a 35-40ish step up. It’s one of our best jumps right now, real floaty.
