Skip - You should read my post. All board sports evolve. If I showed you snowboarding footage from the late 70's you would think that is boring too. We have yet to get any good video. It is so much faster in person. If you think it is boring you must think it is an easy sport to master? It takes most guys with a boardsport background about 4 or 5 sessions before they are standing and riding like the guys you see in the video. To stand and ride riverboarding is harder to learn than ocean surfing. Beginners and kids ride upstream on their stomach or knees - this is very easy.
